Five Reasons to Love the RBC Race for the Kids
At the RBC Race For the Kids Half Marathon on August 4, 2018, you’ll enjoy views of the Saint Paul skyline and scenic Mississippi riverfront and support Ronald McDonald House Charities in the Twin Cities!
Looking for the perfect summer race? The RBC Race for the Kids has it all. The event boasts varying race distances for all ages and abilities, race transfer options if you get sick or injured, convenient packet pick-up, easy race-day parking, a beautiful race course and more. Plus, proceeds from the event support Ronald McDonald House Charities in the Twin Cities!
Five Reasons to Love the RBC Race for the Kids
Here are five reasons we love the RBC Race for the Kids- and why we’re sure you’ll love it, too!
1. An Awesome Course
If you’re looking for a beautiful, spectator-friendly course, the RBC Race for the Kids has you covered. All races start and finish at Upper Landing Park in St. Paul and run a scenic out-and-back along the Mississippi River. The out and back course is great for spectators and even better for the beautiful views!
2. Choose Your Distance
There’s a distance for everyone at the RBC Race for the Kids. Options include a Half Marathon Run or Skate, 10 Mile, Relay, 5 Mile, 5K, and Kids Run. No matter your age, ability, or preferred activity, there’s a race for you!
3. Tune-Up for Fall Training
Getting ready to train for a fall race such as the Twin Cities Marathon or TC 10 Mile? The RBC Race for the Kids is great for a summer fitness check-in or tune-up race. With distances varying from short to long, you’ll be able to bust the rust with a summer challenge no matter your goal race!

4. Options to Transfer Races & Bibs
Few races give the ability to transfer race distances or bibs but at the RBC Race for the Kids, there are three different options! If you’re injured, sick, or unable to race, you can transfer your bib to another participant. If you need to switch distances (or want to take on a bigger challenge), you can transfer events or transfer to a different MN RUN Series race entirely! (All transfers must be made 24 hours before the event.)
5. Benefits the Ronald McDonald House
We especially love the fact that proceeds from the RBC Race for the Kids benefit charity! RBC has a long-standing, proud tradition of supporting the communities where they live and work and are proud to benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities.
